We wanted to give you a heads-up on something that’s about to impact our small business in a big way.

"As part of recent U.S. trade policy changes, the Section 321 de minimis exemption will be suspended for goods originating from China and Hong Kong starting May 2, 2025."

What does that mean? Most of our products will now face high import duties when shipping to the U.S.

As a small Canadian business, this is devastating — especially since the U.S. is our largest customer base. While we hope the policy will eventually be reversed, we’re not banking on it. Instead, we’re making some major changes to adapt.

So, what’s next?

Going forward, we’ll be focusing on creating super cute, premium, handmade pet accessories right here in Canada. For items we can’t produce locally, we’ll source from other trusted international partners.

This transition won’t be easy, but we believe it’s the right move — and we’re excited (and hopeful!) about what’s to come.
